I Didn't Discover AI Last Year
I was at Clarifai — one of the original AI labs, born from the ImageNet competition that launched modern deep learning. While there, I worked with Nvidia, Lowe's, and Kroger on enterprise AI products and helped the company raise $60M.
Before that, I built my first software as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bulgaria. After that came a career reset — I lived out of my car, drove Uber, and studied computer science from the ground up to break into AI. Not through connections. Through grit.
At HPDC (Health Product Declaration Collaborative), I led a digital transformation for an organization that sets standards in the building industry — restructuring their platform, integrating CRM, and driving a 60% traffic increase.
My grandfather was a pharmacist. My father was a dentist. Both independent business owners. AI should make that kind of independence possible again — not consolidate power in big tech platforms.
